volleygirl Posted February 14, 2010 Report Posted February 14, 2010 Hello... I'm new to this so hopefully I give enough info.I've been looking at hotwire for the last 3 weeks for 2 nights in vegas and I'm looking right now at a hotel near the strip east. It's priced at 168 per night with the amenities of :resortsuite casinosmoke free roomspool(s)restaurant (s)business centerkitchenettespa servicesDo you know what this hotel may be?
AaronJB Posted February 14, 2010 Report Posted February 14, 2010 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Please provide the dates or travel and we'll be happy to have a look. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
volleygirl Posted February 14, 2010 Author Report Posted February 14, 2010 I have one more question about going to Las Vegas... this is our first time going and I'm wondering the longer we wait on booking a hotel will it benefit us or not? We're thinking the longer we wait that maybe we'll get a good last minute deal? Are we just wishful thinking :)
volleygirl Posted February 14, 2010 Author Report Posted February 14, 2010 I'm sorry I thought I had oopsy! It would be the nights of March 19 and March 20
AaronJB Posted February 14, 2010 Report Posted February 14, 2010 The above would likely be the Signature @ MGM Grand. There is no way to know for sure regarding buying at the last minute - it can depend on days, traffic, hotel and more. There have been some users who have waited until the last minute and then got stuck when rates had jumped in the meantime because there was something going on. There have been some who have gotten better deals by waiting. However, much like Vegas - it's a bet, and it can go the wrong direction. This does seem like a good deal given the rates that I'm seeing. The other deal I'm seeing is the Trump for about $148 and a $50 resort credit (plus late check-out) although the Trump doesn't have a casino. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
volleygirl Posted February 14, 2010 Author Report Posted February 14, 2010 Where is the Trump tower one under? Are you looking on Hotwire?
AaronJB Posted February 14, 2010 Report Posted February 14, 2010 The Trump actually doesn't offer the resort credit, unfortunately - that is only showing up with higher prices. The Trump deal is on Orbitz - it's $164.89 and coupon code WELCOME10 takes 10% off = $148.41 non-refundable. No resort credit with that rate, though, unfortunately, but you do still get the 4PM check-out.Please use the site's Orbitz.com link if this is of interest.
volleygirl Posted February 14, 2010 Author Report Posted February 14, 2010 We've actually been looking at that one for awhile now. The late check-out doesn't matter to us though ... our flight leaves at 12pm on the Sunday. So if we were to book this one on Orbitz we would have to pay the resort fee? Is that what you meant in your earlier reply?
AaronJB Posted February 14, 2010 Report Posted February 14, 2010 You would still have to pay resort fee. Before I noted that there was actually a resort credit (credit to use at the hotel) available for some rates for the Trump on Orbitz, but I saw that it does unfortunately not apply to the lowest rate showing.
volleygirl Posted February 14, 2010 Author Report Posted February 14, 2010 ok .. well thank you .. you've been very helpful...
