Priceline Hotel: 4* Las Vegas (Fremont) Golden Nugget

I have been battling to get GN for 3 weeks now. I looked at the history on the board for Golden Nugget and thought I could get it for $41 or $50. For some reason that weekend is more expensive than other's experiences on recent weekends, and this particular weekend doesn't involve a holiday or major event. Whatever the reason these Fri and Sat nights in Vegas were pricey.

Started bidding $41, receiving counter offers to rebid at $71. Added other rebid zones and got as high as $55. It was always the $71 counter offer that I received.

Meanwhile I looked up hotel websites, hotwire and GN's official site. GN wanted $89/night while hotel websites were about the same. Hotwire had GN for $79.

Today I bid $57, received an offer to raise my price by $17 and rebid. I declined and added a rebid zone, bid $63 and got turned down. I added another zone and bid $66 and it was accepted. I am happy because I feel like I got a little bit of a deal on the going rate.
