Kyra Posted February 13, 2010 Report Posted February 13, 2010 Hello, I would like to stay at Gild Hall in the SOHO-Downtown area of NYC from 2/24- 2/26 (Wednesday and Thursday nights). How do I know which hotel it is? I think I saw it last week (4* and fitness center, restaurant, business center, and internet) but now it seems to be gone. Jetsetter is offering it for $115 but only from March 1st on... Any suggestions?Thanks!-Kyra
thereuare Posted February 13, 2010 Report Posted February 13, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding! You can see the amenities associated with the Gild Hall in the Hotwire Hotel List... if a hotel with these amenities is not being offered thru HOTWIRE, there is nothing you can do to "make" it appear. Also, note that the amenity combination of Restaurant, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business are very common for NYC, and there is at least one other hotel in this zone (Soho Grand) which has used this amenity combination in the past (and other hotels, such as the Tribecca Grand, which are the same except for the Hi-Speed Internet icon, can add this amenity at any time)... so the chances of being able to specifically target this hotel are going to be fairly low.Is this the only hotel you're willing to accept? What is your maximum budget for this stay? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Kyra Posted February 14, 2010 Author Report Posted February 14, 2010 Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! This is not the ONLY hotel I would accept- but it is much preffered. I work in the financial district, and want to be close to my office. I also want to stay somewhere 'cute' aka not the embassy suites type of place. My limit including tax and fees is $150 per night.
AaronJB Posted February 14, 2010 Report Posted February 14, 2010 When searching for your dates on HOTWIRE, I'm seeing a 4* in the Downtown-Soho area w/Boutique, Fitness, Internet, Golf, Tennis, Spa for $133. Another user just purchased on hotwire, which was the Smyth Hotel, a newer boutique property under the Thompson Hotels chain. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
Kyra Posted February 15, 2010 Author Report Posted February 15, 2010 Hello, I would like some help IDing a 4* soho/financial district hotel. Only amenities are fitness center and high-speed internet. I am looking for the dates 2/24-2/26. I did not see a hotel that matched on your list of hotwire hotels. However, it says a guest must be 21 to book- most others I have seen said 18. This is making me guess it is the Andaz Wall St- based on the 21 to book and the tripadvisor rating.Do you have any idea?
AaronJB Posted February 15, 2010 Report Posted February 15, 2010 Please keep all discussion of this stay within this thread. Thanks. :)This property has not yet been ID'd/reported to the board. I'm not seeing a tripadvisor rating on this listing, only a HOTWIRE review rating. Unfortunately, with limited/common amenities showing, it's difficult to know what this might be.Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
Kyra Posted March 2, 2010 Author Report Posted March 2, 2010 A good friend ended up being out of town so I ended up staying at her apartment for the two nights. Total cost= 6 pack of Blue Moon.
