travlake Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 I'm looking at hotwire rates for 5* hotels on the central strip 3/18 - 3/21. Right now I see:Room choiceResortSuiteCasinoFitnessPoolRestaurantBusiness centerHi speed internet accessThe 1 king is $205/night the 2 queen is $219/night.Am I correct in saying this is almost definitely the venetian or palazzo? I am basing this on the hotel descriptions in this forum as well as the fact that the wynn 1) doesn't charge more for 2 queen beds usually and 2) costs like $400/night direct from the wynn. Also, does hotwire ever deliver the new Aria?If I end up booking this I will do it through the links here ;-)
thereuare Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding! If you go back to HOTWIRE and click the CONTINUE button next to this offering and then click the "See all amenities" link under the icons, do you see more amenities than what you've listed above? Thanks for using our PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links for your purchase... please use for your searches too! yellowdog Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 travlakeThis is a match for both Venetian and Palzzo. So you should have an open mind for both when booking this. Please use the site's HOTWIRE link to start your purchase, and let us know how it goes or if you need any additional help with your stay.Yellowdog.
travlake Posted February 10, 2010 Author Report Posted February 10, 2010 Am I correct that it is not a match for the Wynn? I am indifferent between the V and Palazzo but wouldn't like the Wynn (am going with a group and the venetian/palazzo 2 queen suites are perfect for us). I need two rooms. If I book one, see which hotel it is, then book another immediately after assuming it is not the Wynn, is the rate likely to change? Is is possible the hotel itself changes? Also, does anyone know whether Aria is ever a possibility on Hotwire?
thereuare Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 The property above does not match any previous reports for the Wynn so that results would not be likely... although you could be the first to report this property with a new set of amenity icons. If you purchase one room, the next HOTWIRE search could offer this hotel at a different price... or a different hotel entirely.Lastly, note that the two queen bedded rooms are not 'standard' at the Venetian and sometimes come with an additional charge (if available at check-in... unless you're offered the "Bed Choice" option for this selection)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. travlake Posted February 11, 2010 Author Report Posted February 11, 2010 Thanks for all the info. I do see the bed choice icon so I think I'm good there. One question remains: does anyone know if Aria rooms are sold through Hotwire?
