jbiff Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 Hi there,Looking to book a room for 2 of us from 1-5 May. Looking at a 3.5* in Midtown East with fitness centre, restaurant, business centre and high speed internet. Room is $139 a night. Does anyone know what hotel this might be roughly? Thanks!
AaronJB Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)The Roosevelt, Tudor and Doubletree Met have been reported with this amenity set, so it could possibly be a match for any of those three. Given the higher rates for these Spring dates, this does certainly seem like a nice deal. Please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.
jbiff Posted February 10, 2010 Author Report Posted February 10, 2010 Thanks very much! The Tudor looks a bit far away from the central part - do you think it'll be too far for us?
thereuare Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 It's about a 10 minute walk to Grand Central and there is also a bus (M42) which travels up/down 42nd Street which will drop you off in front of Grand Central or take you further towards Times Square where you can pick up other subway lines if you choose. It's not the most central location, but certainly do-able.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... and your searches too!Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. jbiff Posted February 11, 2010 Author Report Posted February 11, 2010 We ended up with the Roosevelt Hotel - fantastic! (I hope!)
AaronJB Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 Congratulations on your success. Terrific deal for this well-located and historic NYC property!
