I've been keeping my eye on this property for a week or so now, as price has dropped from the $150 range (8 days ago) down to the $113 I booked this afternoon. Even this morning, the price ranged from $119-109, but was up to $113 when I finally pulled the trigger. Glad I'll get to try this property, as it's rated #2 on TripAdvisor.com--the Omni Shoreham (close match on Hotwire from what I can tell) looked like my grandmother's living room. Seems like others have occasionally reported this property being Smoke-Free, but that icon never showed for me this week.

I've looked at the Palomar's website, and it seems that they'll give me free wi-fi if I join their loyalty program, which I intend to do. Also, their FAQs indicate they have no-pet floors for those that would prefer that option (Kimpton hotels are notoriously pet-friendly). Finally, I did book this trip through the HOTWIRE links on the BetterBidding website. Thanks for all your help. :)

Congratulations on your success and Welcome to Betterbidding! :)

Superb deal for this well-reviewed DC property! Additionally, the reward program benefits are generally not available to PRICELINE / HOTWIRE customers. It's worth a try, but discount service users are generally not eligible.

Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using the site's HOTWIRE link to start your purchase.

Enjoy your stay.

Thank you very much for sharing your success. I've been looking into 4/6/10 - 4/9/10 for Dupont Circle, and the Hotwire price has been $159/night. I just looked at 4/6/10 - 4/8/10, and the $113/night price is still there. I guess Thurs 4/8/10 night is the most expensive, and I'll have to split up my bids. I'll update later after I've successfully booked. Suggestions are welcome.
