horan21
Used this website's HOTWIRE link2.5* in Sparks, NV The Courtyard at John Ascuagas Nugget2/18/10-2/19/10$39 plus tax etc.AmenitiesFitness Center Pool RestaurantBusiness Center High-speed Internet Access Golf NearbyRather upset because I didn't want to stay in a casino, and payed more for a lower star rating that wasn't listed as a casino. (Could have had 4 star for $10 less; could have had 4.5 star for $3 more if I wanted to be in the casino).Surprise, it's a casino.I called hotwire customer service prior to booking and they assured me that if it was a casino it would be listed in the amenities. But, they lied.I wrote an email after the confirmation and tried to explain, however I"m pretty sure they will be no help. After using them for several years, I"m pretty sure this will be my last hotwire experience. thereuare
Sorry to hear you're disappointed with the results.I'm not that familiar with this property, but from what i have read, it appears that this property is in a separate building from the Nugget (where the casino is located) and therefore doesn't qualify for the casino icon (which requires the casino be attached to the hotel)... if this is the case hopefully this property will work better for you than you had originally thought.Thank you for sharing your results with the board and using our HOTWIRE link to begin your purchase.Let us know if you hear back from HOTWIRE and how your stay ultimately goes... hope it's better than you anticipate. horan21
Just to complete the story.Once I got the Courtyard hotel, I was told my reservation had been moved to the Towers. I argued a little bit but then just went with it. Of course I had to pay the resort fee now that my room was in the Casino.SO in summary I payed more money to get put into a room that was significantly cheaper on the Hotwire website, and i had to pay a resort fee on top of that.Hotwire seems to be slipping in customer service and quality of the awarded rooms. Or maybe I've just had 3 bad experiences in a row. Link to comment
