I saw Hotwire had a 4* in the CBD for $90, but since it wasn't a Customer Favorite, the description sounded like the Hyatt, which is near the Superdome and has small rooms. So I saw the Convention Center, French Quarter, and CBD all had 4* listing on Priceline. I started with the Convention Center for $81 and failed, then the FQ for $85 and failed, and won with $89 to include the CBD and won the Renaissance Pere Marquette. Wahoo!!! The price on Orbitz or Travelocity is $189. This is rated #40 on Trip Advisor with some mostly positive reviews. I've stayed here last year thanks to Priceline and was very satisfied. It's about as nice as the Sheraton, which I love. I've found any 4* in N'Awlins will be quite nice. Careful with the 3*s though!!Secret: Take it from someone from New Orleans (now in Denver), the French Quarter Fest is most excellent.
