thereuare
Best guess is that this is the Hotel Reserve.Unless you have plans in this area, Downtown is not the most central of locations for the typical visitor. It's certain do-able (20 minute subway ride to midtown), but realize you're making a trade-off in terms of price for convenience. If the above works for your plans, please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. If not, let us know your maximum budget for this trip and we'll see what else is available. david_tn
Looking for 2.5* in 03/05 - 03/07 in MTE, MTW, ESB, Chelsea Area or Time Sq Thtr. Thanks for any help with this. Tried till $65 but no luck. Link to comment
thereuare
Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread.I'm sure you're trying to duplicate the previous 2.5* Affinia 50 win at $65, but keep in mind you're not bidding on that specific hotel and you may receive a different 2.5* property. As well, most agree that this hotel is an 'anomaly' and in terms of quality is worth of a higher star rating, but falls short due to lacking some amenities that PRICELINE requires for higher rated hotels... you may receive something that is more 'true' of a 2.5* rated hotel. What is your maximum bid for this stay? Do you want to continue bidding for a 2.5* hotel... we usually recommend sticking with the higher rated hotels in NYC, as while there may be some 2.5* properties which are acceptable, there may be others which are not, and with PRICELINE you can't choose which type you will get :)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. david_tn
You guys are good! Yes, I bid based on earlier Affina win. Started different thread since I wanted to try PRICELINE.I guess 2.5* would work, I'm not too picky as long as the the room is clean. I don't mind going up to $75 to $80. thanks! Link to comment
thereuare
My advice would be to first try for a 3* hotel, but if you think a 2.5* will suit your needs fine, then by all means try for that. For either (2.5* or 3*) you have no re-bid zones, so you can follow the same strategy for both, just changing the star rating.Assuming you're still willing to accept MTE, MTW, ESB, Chelsea or TS...Select 3* MTE and MTW...Bid $55, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINESelect 3* ESB and Chelsea...Bid $55, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINESelect 3* ESB and MTW...Bid $60, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINESelect 3* MTE and Chelsea...Bid $60, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINESelect 3* MTE and ESB...Bid $65, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINESelect 3* MTW and Chelsea...Bid $65, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINESelect 3* MTE and MTW and ESB...Bid $70, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINESelect 3* MTE and MTW and Chelsea...Bid $70, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINESelect 3* ESB and Chelsea and MTE...Bid $75, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINESelect 3* ESB and Chelsea and MTW...Bid $75, if rejected close browser and use our link to re-access PRICELINESelect 3* ESB and Chelsea and MTE and MTW...Bid $80If you prefer to try for a 2.5* property you can just change all the "3 stars" above to "2.5 stars" and follow the same strategy. AaronJB
Congratulations on your success. :)This property used to get very mixed reviews, but underwent an extensive renovation a year or two ago and reviews have improved significantly since.Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using the site's PRICELINE link.Enjoy your stay.
