HPinnell Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 Just signed upto this wonderful resource today, and i admit to not having USED either priceline or hotwire as yet as my first 'foray' into it shall come closer to my trip over the pond to america this summer. I have read through the extremely helpful giudes and so forth; the only question i cannot seem to find asked within your wonderfully comprehensive giudes are the issues of taxes and charges...IE. someone wins a bid for a hotel for two nights at say $70, i assume this doesnt include taxes?, and i also assume that if you win a bid for $70 before tax, that it is something that one just has to be prepared to account for?(priceline wouldnt give a refund if the taxes substantially inflated the price). I just worry that although someone can get a rather fabulous deal, that it can be shattered by rather unfair/extortionate 'surcharges'...Any advice forthcoming would be greatThankyou, and once again- a top job this thing, wish more people over here in the UK were prepared to be so generous with assistance!
oldfoagy Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 all taxes are disclosed before you submit your bid giving you a total price...unless it's a resort...you should go to priceline.com and...practice...without hitting the...buy my hotel now button...
HPinnell Posted January 19, 2005 Author Report Posted January 19, 2005 rightyo, many thanks 'oldfoagy', most informative.
