Jackz Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 Hi! I'm a new user to Priceline and Hotwire. I think I will go with Priceline... I don't know if Hotwire is better than Priceline? First question... Why do I need to use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links from your site to begin my travel purchases ? Okay... I need a room for 3 night in Vancouver Downtown for 2 adults from august 6th to august 9th. Non-Smoking if possible. We will spend 3 days before our cruise to Alaska. It's will nice to have a room near the harbour. This is our honeymoon :) !! We don't need the biggest hotel because our cruise will be our "luxury honey moon" We're from a small town in New-Brunswick and we are accustomed to our only hotel in the region (an super 8 hotel) but we want something more than just a super 8 :) I look at the hotel list for Vancouver Downtown ... All of these hotels are just great!!! Marriott Pinnacle, Metropolitan Hotel, Pan Pacific, Renaissance, Westin Bayshore , Pacific Palisades , Cascadia Hotel and Suites , Coast Plaza Suites. Can I get one of these type of hotel above 120 $. How do I start my bid ?Thanks a lot!
yellowdog Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding and congratulation :) Why do I need to use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links from your site to begin my travel purchases? To support the board and keep it as free resource.I'm a new user to Priceline and Hotwire. I think I will go with Priceline... I don't know if Hotwire is better than Priceline? If you're trying to target a specific property then HOTWIRE can often be a better option if you're successfully able to identify it based upon the star rating and amenities shown before your purchase... the trade-off is that HOTWIRE usually costs a little more than PRICELINE, so you need to decide what is most important to you for a given stay, the lowest possible price OR the ability to take an educated guess as to the property you may receive. Also read this link: I've never used Priceline or HotwireJust remember. Hotel comes and goes on PRICELINE. You need to be willing to accept any hotel at the star level (or higher) you're bidding at.If you would like to get help with a bidding strategy so please post your budget/night, zone(s) you're willing to stay in and the rating for the hotel.I hope this helps.Yellowdog.Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
