Priceline Hotel: 3.5* NYC (MTE) Roosevelt

Hello!

Looking for a manhattan hotel april 15-18, preferably CPS

Ideally my pick would be Le Parker Meridien for $120 (bid) but realize those chances are slim.

I've been to NYC twice before and stayed in MTE both times, last at the Barclay through priceline. (Ess-a-bagel was great, thanks for the tip!)

Although MTE is nice I wouldnt mind trying a hotel in a different area this time.

Looking at the Priceline Hotel List for CPS, 3 and 3.5* would certanly be adequate as well so no 4* requirement.

Any tips on a bidding strategy? Max bid $140.

To clarify...

Is CPS the only zone you're willing to bid at this point? Did you want to try up to your limit first for a 3.5* property, then if rejected, try up to your limit for a 3*... OR is your goal the least expensive 3* or better for this stay?

I was hoping for CPS, tried 4* and 3.5* up to $150 with no luck.

I also tried 4* at CPS, MTE, MTW and TS up to $151 - same result.

Bid at 3.5* for MTE next, ended up with The Roosevelt for $137 (bid history $105, $110, $121, $129)

Looks like a decent hotel close to grand central station so I'm happy.

You're also near my often recommended Ess-A-Bagel (Third Ave at 51st St) which has one of the best bagels in the city, makes for a nice, and relatively inexpensive, breakfast among local NYers.
