Priceline Hotel: First Time Priceliner- need 3*+ in NYC for Feb 13- Feb15

Actually, I've bid in Priceline last night, but my offer was rejected.

I would like to find a 3*-4* hotel located near Mid-town East and West, times square, Central Park South. I've no idea about the hotel rate in that area... I bid $110 last night, but it is unsuccessful... Can you help me to figure out the bidding stretagy?

I put my maximum bidding price at $130...

I am surprised nobody has responded to you. I am learning too but it seems like you have a lot of options to work with regarding zone and star level.

Basically the way things work is that you need to bid all permutations of each category until you get a win. I am by no means a pro but here is a kinda sorta example .....

Say you want just 3 or 4 stars in zones 8 and 9. You would do something like this:

Bid $110 for 4 star in zone 8 ..... if rejected go to next line

bid $110 for 4 star in zone 9 ..... if rejected go to next line

bid $110 for 4 star in zone 8 and 9 (not sure if you can do this being you already bid 8 and 9 individually).... if rejected go to next line.

Bid for 3 star in 8

bid 3 star in 9

bid 3 star in 8 and 9 ...etc etc

This is how it works.

Poke around this forum and you will find that the pros that watch the forum often post legitimate patterns to follow.

I just recently won a 4* in MTW area at a $200 bid. Tried many times but was unsuccessful with any lower bids in the Time Square, MTW area for this particular weekend.
