Hello! I have used this board so many times so 1st i want to say thank you. I finally felt guilty enough to register so I can share my success as well. I have a question. I am looking to stay at the W or Roosevelt March 12-14 for a bachelorette party. It is showing $149 per night which is awesome 4 star hollywood hotel. Are we pretty sure the W will be this hotel? I think I saw somewhere that it once was the Renaissance. I am looking to get 3 or 4 rooms but I think it's interesting if I up the amount of people, then the rate goes up. Does this mean it would be bigger rooms? Help! I have no diea. Thank you so much! And mini I hope your stay at the W was very nice! I went there yesterday to check it out and its pretty amazing. the front desk was a bit snobby but its hollywood i guess.

Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

Please provide the list of amenity icons that are showing with this HOTWIRE listing and we will be happy to take a look.

Additionally, entering in more than 2 adults in a room may raise the price due to extra person fees being included, which are common in larger cities. Entering in 4 people in a room does not mean a bigger room, and different listings may show up when searching for more than 2 in the room. If you do have four in the party in the room and indicate four on HOTWIRE, that will guarantee bedding (which is commonly 2 beds, but could be 1 bed + sofabed) for the whole party in that room.

Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases.

If the listing is 4* Hollywood Area Hotel and shows No-Smoking and Spa amenities, it should be the W. Also, when it does show reviews (seems to come and go on hotwire), it still says something about still collecting data. That's another good tip it's the W, since no reviews for it exist yet.

I also saw the same thing the other day. I was looking for someone who had 8 adults and 8 kids and I put 4 rooms, 8 adults, 8 kids and it came to a $169 price. When I did 1 room, 2 adults, 2 kids, it was $149.

I guess the risk of booking multiple rooms separately is that you might not get put together, plus perhaps the hotwire deal could "sell out" for those days after the first reservation.

Hi! I am sorry. I kept posting the same thing. I am still learning how to use this. I guess you made a new post for me. Thank you! OK. that is good advice. I will probably just put the lower number then so I can get the better rate and just call and ask if they can put the rooms semi close together. I will let you know what I end up doing :) Thanks for the help, from what I can see, it almost 100% would be the W.

Searching for 4 in the room (whether 4 adults or 2 adults/2 kids, etc.) would indicate 4 in the room. If there is going to be 4 in the room, it is recommended to indicate 4 to guarantee bedding for the entire party.

That's risky.

When you book though Hotwire, many hotels will provide far fewer considerations like that than if you booked directly through the hotel or some other, full price, hotel booker.

They easily could tell you you booked through Hotwire and they are unable to change your assigned room(s).

Yes, it's almost certainly the W. Absolutely worst case, you still wind up with a 4* Hotel in Hollywood for $149.

Good luck!

I wouldn't mind staying at the Roosevelt. I don't think HOTWIRE has it currently listed as one of the hollywood hotels. I have been reading and it looks like poeple have gotten the Roosevelt quite a bit on PRICELINE. I am just afraid I would get the renaissance. have you seen any recebt bids on PRICELINE for hollywood that I am missing?

I have decided to go directly through the W. I appreciate everyone's help but since its for a large party i cant risk it as far as beds and cancelation policy. I was able to still get a price compareable to hotwire at $165 so it worked out. Thank you and I can give you a list of recent hotels and bids i have done through hotwire and priceline from all over if this would be helpful for the calender of wins. I travel a lot. Let me know how I should do it.

It would be greatly appreciated if you could post any prior wins (PRICELINE or HOTWIRE) in the appropriate state/country forums on the board.

Additionally, if you use coupon code orbitzdeal5, you can get 5% off the W for these dates. Please use the site's Orbitz.com link if this is of interest.
