mattmcf Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 Hi allAwesome website by the way - have used Hotwire many times without realising you guys existed. Oops!I was hoping you might be able to help with one issue. I'm flying out to Las Vegas from the UK to meet some friends on 26th April. They're staying in the Venetian and I'm trying to get a room in there for myself between 26th and the 30th. It would just be one person, one room. From what I can see it looks like the Venetian for those dates is $93 (!) per night. It matches all the amenties on your guide, right down to the Spa that only appears when you expand the 'hotel amenities' section. The only problem is that it shows on Hotwire as 4 1/2 * rather than 5*. Is this a known issue? Am I booking some random place 5 miles from everyone else? :) Sorry if this has been covered - thanks a lot.
thereuare Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding! My guess is that you're probably being offered Ceasars Palace... what are the amenities of the hotel you're being offered? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases... and your searches too! mattmcf Posted February 2, 2010 Author Report Posted February 2, 2010 Thanks - doing a bit more research it looks like that might be the hotel. The amenities match up exactly with the Venetian list on here, right down to the spa that only appears when you expand the amenities section. I'm guessing HOTWIRE never gets the star rating wrong, so it probably can't be the Venetian?
thereuare Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Star ratings are subject to change (and do change frequently)... but i'd be surprised if the Venetian has been downgraded (or available for $93/nite). It's not uncommon for more than one hotel in the zone, at the same or different star rating, to have the same amenity combination as another property in the same zone. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. mattmcf Posted February 4, 2010 Author Report Posted February 4, 2010 Cool - thanks for all your help. Will book through the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links here (but of course) and let you know what I decide.Cheers.
