Bid this just a few hours before arrival...

With a colder than usual cold spell upon us and no plans for our kids this weekend, decided to see if we could get an inexpensive hotel with a pool and scored this property.

Not sure if offered every weekend, but at least this Saturday and Sunday the lobby lounge offers $4 house wine, $3 bottled beers, and half priced appetizers from 1pm-9pm. We decided to have a 'snack' there in the late evening, then ate later at the hotel restaurant for dinner.

The hotel has just completed its renovation and was in great shape (although the walls are still thin :) ). We had a great time even though the pool area was too cold for us to use due to a heating issue the building was having in the fitness/pool area (which is in a different wing of the building than the 'main hotel').
