BostonTraveler Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 Used many techniques learned on this site. Started at $100 for 3.5* in just Singer Island area on West Palm Beach. Rejected. Then slowly increased price by adding zones that didn't have any hotels in that star rating or above. (Central Palm Beach, then Jupiter, then West Palm Beach, then Palm beach Airport. Believe I did have to wait a 24 cycle but finally got it the place I wanted at $175. Lowest rate on website is $368 per night, so I am happy.

grubandgring Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 is this the old Resort at singer island? I know it is now a marriot.I ask because this should be at least a four star and I am looking to book that property for feb 11thI just dont want to end up with the wrong place and I am not sure how the original poster knew which stars were not available in the adjacent area or even another participation 3.5 star on singer islandthanks in advance
grubandgring Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 ok I figured out there are four other areas that do not have 3.5 star options so I have several chances at walking the bid up.But I guess I just want to be sure that it is the old singer island resort.
BostonTraveler Posted March 15, 2010 Author Report Posted March 15, 2010 Yes, this is the same Resort at Singer Island and I agree that this is a 4 star property.
joogle Posted May 29, 2010 Report Posted May 29, 2010 Is this now a 3* star hotel according to priceline? When I do a search of the hotel I find it comes as a 3*, the reason i am concerned is i dont want to be stuck with the 3* hotel which is the Hilton if I bid.I guess it's hard to narrow this one down now.
thereuare Posted May 29, 2010 Report Posted May 29, 2010 As per THIS LINK this property is now 3* rated by PRICELINE... there currently is no 3.5* bidding available in this zone. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
