Yagermeister Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 That looks like a match for the Intercontinental. For an alternative, you might do all right with a 3* bid on Priceline that has been the Hyatt Place. The winning bids have been about $40, and it has a shuttle. It's a good location, close to many restuarants and mall.

AaronJB Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 There is no way to ensure a particular property when bidding on PRICELINE.
thereuare Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 The HOTWIRE hotel in your fist post is a match for the Inter-Continental so that would be my best guess (although i'm not sure what you're refering to with the "4-star from a 3.5" in your topic title since this property was last reported to the board thru HOTWIRE as a 4* property)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. Yagermeister Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 I wasn't trying to give a Hyatt Place certainty, but the last five or so 3* winning bids in Tampa Westshore/TPA have been Hyatt Place. That's why I said "might."You win some and lose some, but I was very pleased with my win of the Hyatt Place.

Is $65 US (tx and fees incl.) a good price for a brief, 9 hour stay @ this property? Thanks.
AaronJB Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 If this is in fact the Hyatt Place - and the amenity set would appear to be a match - the lowest rate on the hotel website is $142 for this date, so that would definitely be a good deal.
