tallguyg69 Posted January 30, 2010 Report Posted January 30, 2010 G'day to everyone...I'm a real new member to this board, though have previously used the service before to find out what hotels hotwire has used which I've been grateful for. Well I need some help, my family is coming from Australia and we are looking at hotels from April 6th to April the 20th. It will be for 2 rooms with 3 occupants in each... I'm not sure what would be the best price we are looking for, we are trying to stay around the Madison Square area or Times Square. Would 130-150 a night be reasonable, hopefully you will be able to help me out. Thank you
AaronJB Posted January 30, 2010 Report Posted January 30, 2010 Welcome to Betterbidding! :)If you have made any other recent PRICELINE/HOTWIRE purchases recently, please do post them, as the information does help other users. In terms of your trip, will it be April 6th-10th or 6th-20th? It's 6th-10th in the thread title & until the 20th in your message. Additionally, what zones would you be interested in - only the Madison Square Garden zone, or would any of the surrounding zones be okay? What would be the desired star rating, and is your budget $130-150 "all-in" (with tax/fees) or $130-150 + fees/taxes?Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
tallguyg69 Posted January 31, 2010 Author Report Posted January 31, 2010 Thank you for changing that for me, Well Madison Square Garden would be the most preffered zone, but anything similar will be fine, Time Square would be a good area I would think. The desired star rating would be 3 stars and it would be 130-150 + fees/taxes

thereuare Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 Is it 2adults/1child in each room?Searching HOTWIRE for 2rooms/4adults/2children for your dates nothing appears at the 3* or better level in any zone within Manhattan for $150 or under. Is your budget flexible or do you prefer to wait it out and hope for lower price OR would you consider staying outside of Manhattan in an area which is commutable to the city? (although i don't necessarily recommend this given the distance you're traveling to visit Manhattan)Is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. tallguyg69 Posted January 31, 2010 Author Report Posted January 31, 2010 Hey there,We would def need at least 2 queen beds. Im hoping the price stays down, and we would really prefer staying in the city. What do you splitting the priceline bid???
thereuare Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 We would def need at least 2 queen beds. All that is guaranteed is 'sleeping accomodations' for everyone you include in your search... bed type is not guaranteed and it could even be one bed plus a sofabed or a rollaway brought into the room. Woudl this work for your needs? Is it 2adults/1child in each room???Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
