Vegas_Or_Bust Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 My friend and I are going to Vegas for a girl's weekend. We would like to stay on the Strip at a 4 star or better hotel for $100 or less. I've read some of the other topics on here and am trying to figure out the best way to get a fun hotel for us. If I bid on South Strip, is the Luxor the one that normally wins? Sorry if I'm not posting in the right way!
yellowdog Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding :) I wouldn't say that Luxor is the "regular" hotel in this zone. But if you want to avoid it so only bid 5* in the south zone. or you can go with HOTWIRE. If you're trying to target a specific property then HOTWIRE can often be a better option if you're successfully able to identify it based upon the star rating and amenities shown before your purchase... the trade-off is that HOTWIRE usually costs a little more than PRICELINE, so you need to decide what is most important to you for a given stay, the lowest possible price OR the ability to take an educated guess as to the property you may receive. If you would like to get help with a bidding strategy so please post your budget/night, zone(s) you're willing to stay in and the rating for the hotel.Let us know what you think and we'll go from there.Yellowdog.Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
