tashacash Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 Hi all! I am new here... However not new to HOTWIRE.I have always been content to play the guessing game when booking my hotel plans with HOTWIRE, but not so much this time. My man and I have decided to splurge on a 5* this time and are undecided between two choices. Was hoping someone could have a guess as to the names of the hotels. Our travel dates are March 12th 2010 - March 14th 2010The results were:Central Strip Condo $162/nightAmenities included:Spa ServicesStudioSmoke Free RoomsFitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)Business CenterHigh-speed Internet AccessKitchenetteCondoand...Central Strip Hotel $189/nightAmenities included:ResortSuiteCasinoFitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)Business CenterHigh-speed Internet AccessGolf NearbyTennis NearbySpa ServicesI'm guessing the Condo is the Trump... not sure about the Hotel... any idea? Thanks in advance :)
AaronJB Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)If you have had any other recent HOTWIRE wins, sharing the information would be greatly appreciated, as it would help other users. The 5* Condo would likely be the Trump; The 5* hotel possibly the Venetian or Palazzo, but the Venetian would be my guess. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
tashacash Posted January 28, 2010 Author Report Posted January 28, 2010 Thanks for your reply. I will definitely log into my Hotwire account and post my past winning bid info. This site is a big help! I would love to help others too.I'll also post back when I book my Vegas trip via your HOTWIRE link :)I'm leaning towards the Venetian or Palazzo rather than the TrumpDoes anyone have any preferences with those Hotels? Is one better than the other? Any pros or cons? Thanks again.
thereuare Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 The rooms at the Venetian and Palazzo are almost identical... the Palazzo is a little newer, but both are great hotels and i'd be content with either. Not much point in debating which is better since with HOTWIRE you can only choose from what is offered and not pick the one you want :)Thanks for using using our PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links for your purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. tashacash Posted January 29, 2010 Author Report Posted January 29, 2010 Yay... Just booked my hotel via your HOTWIRE link. Turned out to be the Palazzo. It makes sense considering TripAdvisor based it on a 860+ review. We're very excited!! The hotel looks amazing :)Thanks again for the help... you made my decision to go with Hotwire an easy one.
AaronJB Posted January 30, 2010 Report Posted January 30, 2010 Congratulations on your success! :)Terrific deal for the Palazzo! Glad you are pleased with the result and looking forward to your stay.Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using the site's HOTWIRE link.Enjoy your stay.
tashacash Posted January 30, 2010 Author Report Posted January 30, 2010 Thank you!It actually ended up to be lower than the original quote of $189 a day ago... down to $157 today. A $32 dollar difference. I couldn't pass that up. HOTWIRE stated that we saved 39% off what other travel sites were quoting. Can't beat that!
