Gonzo70 Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 I was assigned the Fairfield Inn in Marion, IL for a $45 bid on a two-star hotel (for Friday April 16, 2010 to Sunday April 18, 2010). This was the first bid I put in, so I don't know if I could have saved a few more bucks, but is significantly less than the hotel is going for on other website, so it seems like a good deal. Never stayed at this hotel before, but it has good reviews and Marion does not have a whole lot to pick from. Am staying there for a relay race and the other people on my team paid nearly triple this rate for booking directly with a nearby hotel (same star rating, same neighborhood).
