janej Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 I had a canceled bid last year for medical reason. Priceline charged me $100 cancellation fee but promised to pay back $70 if I bid in a year for the same passenger. So now I am trying to get a successful bid for EWR to HOU. The price for non stop flight from Continental is $256. I bid up to $245 and still got rejected. I don't mind bid up to $256. But I am afraid I will get a one-stop flight and inconvenient time on top. Does any one have any experience on biding close to published fare? Will the bid be accepted for sure if I add $10 more to the bid price? Many thanks,Jane
thereuare Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 No, there are no guarantees your bid will be accepted, even at 'retail' rate... the airline has to load the rate into the system in order to be available at the price you bid. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
