Wyomingtraveler Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 I was just searching Hotwire for a hotel in Denver, CO for 02/04/2010-02/05/2010. One of the listing I get for the area named Denver (Tech Center South) is for a 3* for only $44 with the following features.Fitness Center - Pool - Restaurant - Business Center - High Speed InternetIt looks like the Hilton Garden Inn Denver South Meridian, but the first listing for this hotel has restaurant crossed out. Also the 2nd listing shows restaurant, but does not show high speed internet. If this is the case that would fine with me, as hhonors.com shows rates at 3x that amount or more.Any one else out have any guesses on this one? Thanks
yellowdog Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 I'm sorry to say that a 3* property with this amenitie combo has not yet been reported/ID'd to the board. But if you change your search to 3 adults is there a 3*, $69 W/Complimentary Breakfast, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Laundry. This is a match for Holiday Inn Express Englewood.Would this work for you? Please use the site's HOTWIRE link to start your purchase, and let us know how it goes.Yellowdog.

Wyomingtraveler Posted January 27, 2010 Author Report Posted January 27, 2010 I decided to try Priceline using the link on this site for a trip to Denver that recently posted about at the Colorado/Hotwire part of this site. While I knew $44 I was finding at Hotwire for a 3* hotel was very good for the South tech Center zone I decided to see if could get a similar hotel for less at Priceline. Below is what I was able to get.Hotel:3* Hilton Garden Inn Denver South/Meridianfor Feb. 04 through Feb. 05, 2010Paid:$33 + $11.66 (taxes and fees) = $44.66 ($9 less than Hotwire figuring in the taxes and fees and of course much less than hhonors.com)Bidding info:I was looking for a hotel in the Tech Center South, Tech Center, or Cherry Creek zones, so I used this to my advantage.Started out by bidding $25 in the just the Tech Center South zone. This bid was rejected, so I did the following.Rebid $30 by adding the Tech Center zone. This bid was also rejected, so I did the following.Rebid $33 by adding the Cherry Creek zone. This bid was accepted. A friend suggested that I add Denver Northeast and then Northglenn - Thornton, as neither have 3* hotels in them.
thereuare Posted January 27, 2010 Report Posted January 27, 2010 Congratulations on your success!Glad to see you're happy with the deal you received and this property works well for your plans.Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using our PRICELINE link to begin your bidding.Enjoy your stay.
