Hotwire Hotel: San Antonio!

Hi, I am new here and not sure if I am posting in the right place.

I am looking for a good deal on a Four Star hotel in the Riverwalk Area of San Antonio. Texas. I am going to be there Feb. 12, 2010 through Feb. 15. I did not want to spend much more than $100 per night, but I would like to stay somewhere very nice as it is a short trip for me, but I am traveling from a long distance.

I am hoping to get a room in a Four Star Hotel. I have an existing reservation for $80 a night at the Four Points Sheraton, which is a way from the downtown and does not look too nice.

I have checked out PRICELINE and HOTWIRE, but I am new to these services. I am going to read up here for some tips.

Any help or suggestions appreciated.

If you go back to HOTWIRE can you doublecheck and confirm if this is a 3.5* hotel you're seeing... searching your dates in this zone i see a 3* hotel with the amenities above.

They are definitely calling it a *3.5.

I am coming up with a *3.5 on priceline that is not an exact match for anything I see listed here.

I can't get the same hotel to appear on my search. How many rooms/adults/children did you search for? Can you please run a new search and confirm that you still can see this hotel on your search.

There is a 3* Riverwalk South with the amenties you have listed.

The closest match seems Riverwalk Crowne Plaza, but here it says that is recently changed from a *3.5 to *4

This listing has not yet been ID'd/reported to the board, but may be the Crowne Plaza back at the 3.5* level (I believe it has been at 4* for a while, but was previously 3.5* at one point.)

The tripadvisor rating on the detail page for this listing that I am seeing (3/5, 120+ reviews) would suggest that it is the Crowne Plaza (as the CP is 3/5, 129 reviews)
