socgrrrl Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 Starting with the PRICELINE link here, my first bid of $80 was accepted for the Westin Grand Hotel. With taxes and fees this came to a total of $98.87 - a great deal as these rooms are listed as $279 a night on the regular priceline site. Couldn't have done it without this site- thanks!
AaronJB Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 Congratulations on your success! :)Certainly an awesome discount for this property! Glad you are pleased with the result and that Betterbidding was helpful for planning your purchase.Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using the site's PRICELINE link.Enjoy your stay.
GDrinnen2 Posted January 25, 2010 Report Posted January 25, 2010 This is fascinating.I've tried booking a 4* in foggy bottom for this very same week for the past two weeks. I have bid up to $98 with no takers. I noticed this is only for one night. I've been trying to book 5 nights. I guess they are more reluctant to offer up discounts for longer stays?
AaronJB Posted January 25, 2010 Report Posted January 25, 2010 Rates can vary quite a bit by date - this night may be slower than other nights of the same week. For further help on this stay please update/continue your existing Priceline Washington DC thread. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
socgrrrl Posted January 26, 2010 Author Report Posted January 26, 2010 This is one night- a Thursday. If you're booking Friday or Saturday you'll be sure to hit higher prices.
