TampaRican
Hello guys; first of all, thanks for having this great message board. This is a blessing for all of us who are not rich but want to have a good time in Vegas.I'm a college student who will be attending the Pacquiao-Morales super featherweight fight at the MGM Grand on March 19th. I plan to arrive on March 18th and leave on Monday, March 21st. The thing is that I would like to stay in a good hotel (4 or 5 stars... heck, even 3 if it is really worth it) that is close to the MGM. I like quiet and clean places. I have been doing some research, and although I am basically willing to pay around $460 for a 3 night stay in the Boardwalk, I know that with that amount of money I can get a better deal elsewhere if I do things right. So, I would like to use Priceline to get a good deal in a nice hotel in the Strip. I won't have a car available, so location is essential. Thanks for the help beforehand. Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! Before we take a closer look at this... are you 21 years old or over? Many Las Vegas hotels (w/ casinos) have a 21 year old minimum (as does Priceline); if you're under 21 it may or may not be a problem, but you should at least be aware of it in order to make an educated decision of your options. thereuare
The problem is that your dates coincide with the CONEXPO for which there are an expected 135,000 attendees! :) I would take that Boardwalk rate thru their website, assuming it's cancellable, and check-back with us in a month... i don't think you're going to beat that at this point if you only want to stay on the strip, but you may have better luck 2-3 weeks before arrival (however, if demand gets tight you may get nothing, so be sure to book a cancellable backup in the meantime) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
TampaRican
135,000??? Wow... well, I guess I'll make reservations in the Boardwalk for now, and then be back 3 weeks before arrival. Thanks a lot for the help! Link to comment
