HoneymoonCA Posted January 26, 2010 Report Posted January 26, 2010 I just wanted to add that we stayed at this hotel last weekend - for 4 nights - and we LOVED it!!!!! The location is perfect as it is RIGHT off the freeway...and just down the road from some great beaches. Also, we used Fox rental car - but did not bid for it...but they seemed the cheapest to us.Have fun!!!! :)
switters Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 Hi,I'm not sure if you're still following this, but in case you are...I'm trying to book two nights at this same hotel on May 15th & 16th. I put in a bid for $55 today but was rejected. Any tips? Do you think it might be too far away from the date? Also, I heard this hotel charges $14 for parking per day, and $10 for internet. Is that true? Do they have wireless internet, or just a wired T1 in the rooms? Thanks.

switters Posted March 3, 2010 Report Posted March 3, 2010 Sorry, I should have been more clear.I know that there is only on 3.5* hotel in Del Mar, CA and that is the Hilton. On PRICELINE, I selected the Del Mar area and then the 3.5* criteria. I'm fairly certain that I'm bidding on the Hilton, but if for some reason I get another hotel close by that would be fine.In any event, the question remains: did I start bidding too early? What should my strategy be here? I see that two previous bids of $55 were accepted, but my $55 bid was declined. Thanks a lot for your help, and I assure you I'll be using the links here to place future bids.
