thereuare
Congratulations on your win and thank you very much for sharing it with the rest of the board... a new hotel for our lists! Looks like you didn't end up too far off from your lowball offer and got a great deal. With such good reviews hopefully you can utilize this property for a little more than just "a place to crash." If not, you'll just have to come back! :) Thanks again for posting and have a great trip! TravelGuy
Makana, could you check to see if your wnning bid said 4*? Priceline currently doesn't offer 4* in that zone. Link to comment
Mulval
Priceline quality level for Westfields Marriott is 3*, even though the hotel Web site at http://marriott.com/property/propertypage....arshaCode=IADWF boasts the following ratings from other reviewers:AAA Diamonds: 4Michelin Stars: 4Mobil Travel Guide Stars: 4I have stayed at this hotel twice in January 2005: four nights (January 3 to 7) for $47/night, then three nights (January 18 to 21) for $46/night. It's an impressive-looking hotel, with the lowest rate of $279/night posted on its Web site. Sometimes service staff leave "Westfields" Belgian chocolates on your pillow. Rooms have two separate bathroom sinks with marble counters, and a mini-bar. There's a white "Westfields" bathroom robe hanging in the closet. The fitness and spa facility is the best I've seen in any hotel. However, if all you're doing is crashing for the night, then the rooms feel not much different from any other hotel, even if listed for half the posted price. The television set is rather small. The guest parking lot does not surround the hotel, but is located to the side, so it's a couple of minutes of walking outside. You could use the helpful parking valet, but if you're a Priceline customer, you will probably just walk... Link to comment
TravelGuy
Thanks, I've seen reviews where people say it's more like a 4* as well. I was wondering if maybe Priceline had upgraded it, which would have been great, as it would have been the only 4* in that zone and an easy target. Link to comment
