SINE I WILL BE GETTING MY HAIR AND MAKE UP DONE IN THE ROOM AND WILL HAVE ALL MY BRIDESMAIDS WITH ME I DONT WANT A RINKY DINKY HOTEL NOR DO I WANT TO PAY 200$ FOR JUST WANT NIGHT. I WOULD LIKE A 3-4 STAR HOTEL AND AM WILLING TO PAY ANYTHING BETWEEN $70-110. I WILL ALSO BE NEEDING TWO ROOMS. I WAS ON PRICELINE ABOUT TO BID BUT I REALLY AM NOT FAMILIAR WITH THIS BIDDING THING SO I WANTED A LITTLE HELP!!! THANKS FOR ANY INSIGHT SINCERELY,A VERY ANXIOUS BRIDE!
thereuare Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding! (and congratulations on your upcoming wedding)Please DON"T TYPE IN ALL CAPS as it makes your post harder to read.Rates are very high for this nite in Miami... you can certainly try the Downtown zone, but based upon current prices i'm doubtful you'll be success at $110 or under. Is the Airport zone acceptable?Given you "don't want a rinky dink hotel" are you willing to pay more for a hotel higher rated hotel OR is your goal the least expensive 3* or better for this stay? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll advise accordingly. MICHY067 Posted January 23, 2010 Author Report Posted January 23, 2010 :) Sorry about the caps....I know it is Valentines Weekend so I figured : ( but I would like the downtown area or airport area. Really and truely anything below a 3 worries me, I would def do 3 and above do you think theres any chance? of any kind of deal? I'm getting worried and my goal was to try to book by the end of the weekend. I'm so thankful for this site! Cant wait to hear your recommendations!p.s which of the two sites do you think I would ge a bettter deal from?
yellowdog Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 MICHY067p.s which of the two sites do you think I would ge a bettter deal from?If you're trying to target a specific property then HOTWIRE can often be a better option if you're successfully able to identify it based upon the star rating and amenities shown before your purchase... the trade-off is that HOTWIRE usually costs a little more than PRICELINE, so you need to decide what is most important to you for a given stay, the lowest possible price OR the ability to take an educated guess as to the property you may receive.Downtown will be hard win within your budgett. Best i found on HOTWIRE is a 4* at $119 at MIA.Just post with any further questions.Yellowdog.Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
thereuare Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 Best guess for the $119 HOTWIRE hotel in the airport zone is the Inter-Continental West (note this hotel is west of the airport, so distance to the port (and cost of taxi) will be a bit more than if you were on the eastern side of the airport, which is closer to the cruise pier)... so it comes down if this is a hotel you're interested in trying to target and trying for via HOTWIRE OR if you want to try for a better price for any hotel in the zone, with no ability to take an educated guess as to teh hotel you may receive, via PRICELINE.Let us know your thoughts and how you'd like to proceed. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
