4.5 star condo - planet hollywood towers

Do not book this!

I paid 85 on hotwire for 1/18/10, total after taxes was 100.

The Planet Hollywood Tower may be brand new, but the service and quality of this hotel is awful.

The basic room they show on their website is a suite with a kitchenette AND dining room, king bed, and a huge L shaped couch with fold out bed.

Instead we were put into a "suite" which was not much bigger than a decent 4 star room, with just one king bed and a small couch with a double sized pull out bed. They do not have any rooms with two beds unless you book their 500+/night suites.

There was construction dust everywhere. I'm convinced they laid down the sheets and placed some shampoo bottles in late December and left the room to stew with construction dust for nearly a month until we were the first ones to sleep there.

I just checked my bank after the fact and noticed they are charging me another 5 bucks after checking out, which I think is for the bathroom glasses which we made cocktails in and brought down to the casino. I don't know of any hotel ever charging to recoup cheap water glasses, especially since we left them IN the casino and I'm sure they made their way back to where they belong.

This is supposed to the the deluxe property of PH, but don't expect any perks. It's a tiring walk to the casino. A regular room at PH comes with a free 750ml bottle of booze, slot play, and usually club passes if you ask nicely, but PH Tower wouldn't give anything. Oh! there are no ice machines. Be prepared to wait an hour for some guy to bring up a bunch of ice in a dirty bucket with no scoop, towel, let alone any presentation or a smile.

Hotwire should stop doing business with PH Tower, its a waste of money when HRH Towers and THEhotel are somewhat cheaper but wayyyy nicer.

On a side note, we stayed at Treasure Island the night before, also through Hotwire for just $53, and it was great. The 22 buck resort fee stings a little, but when we *nicely* sassed the front desk lady about it, she upgraded our room to strip view and sent up a chilled bottle of champagne (not the cheapest one btw), all for free, so we effectively paid 22 bucks for about 50 bucks worth of perks, plus the resort fee includes internet and passes for he nightclub (which never opened even though we were told it would)

So we complained in the morning and we're getting a special discounted rate at TI for two nights any time for the rest of the year. TI is right next to Mirage, wynn, palazzo, venetian, caesars, so the location really can't be beat, and since TI is kind of small, the walk to the other hotels is pretty short.

As this thread reflects your Planet Hollywood Towers stay, please post the details of your Treasure Island win as a NEW TOPIC, as this will enable others to be aware of the win for that stay when searching topic titles of the board and the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins.

If HOTWIRE advertised in-room Laundry and it didn't exist, i would contact them to let them know that the hotel didn't have all the amenities advertised. If you do reach out to them please let us know the outcome.
