lazydaz Posted January 20, 2010 Report Posted January 20, 2010 I am planning a trip to NYC in mid-March for 3 people. Would like to use Priceline but need to know if they will allow info that indicates 3 guests and 2 beds or is bid just for a room and extra beds/guest are over and above rate quoted to me. Have read post that say good idea to just bid for 1 night until I see what I get but am going for 6 nights...seems pretty arduous to do this several times and not interested in moving 6 times. Any suggestions
AaronJB Posted January 20, 2010 Report Posted January 20, 2010 PRICELINE does not guarantee more than double occupancy (2 people/1 bed). While you can request more than 1 bed, the hotel could say no and in NYC - where rooms are often quite small and double beds, when available, often go for a premium - trying to use PRICELINE for two beds is a definite risk. HOTWIRE is instead recommended, as you can search for the amount of people in the room on that service. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links and let us know if you have further questions and what route you decide to go with.
