Hotwire Hotel: 3 people

I am planning a trip to NYC in mid-March for 3 people. Would like to use Priceline but need to know if they will allow info that indicates 3 guests and 2 beds or is bid just for a room and extra beds/guest are over and above rate quoted to me. Have read post that say good idea to just bid for 1 night until I see what I get but am going for 6 nights...seems pretty arduous to do this several times and not interested in moving 6 times. Any suggestions

PRICELINE does not guarantee more than double occupancy (2 people/1 bed). While you can request more than 1 bed, the hotel could say no and in NYC - where rooms are often quite small and double beds, when available, often go for a premium - trying to use PRICELINE for two beds is a definite risk. HOTWIRE is instead recommended, as you can search for the amount of people in the room on that service.
