TheBrain Posted January 18, 2010 Report Posted January 18, 2010 Hi,This is my first posting here and also for using hotwire and/or priceline.I did a search for the following on hotwire:Thu, Feb 18 to Thu, Feb 25New York City, NY - 1 room, 7 nights, 2 adults, 2 children Filtered on 4 star and up.Got the following:Times Square - Theatre District Hotel -Suite- Fitness Center- Restaurant(s)- Business center- High speed internet access.Any clue of which hotel this might actually be?Thanks in advance for your help!Regards,Patrick
AaronJB Posted January 18, 2010 Report Posted January 18, 2010 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)My guess would be the Doubletree Times Square Suites. On the detail page for the HOTWIRE listing, I'm also seeing a 4.5/5 tripadvisor rating with 780+ reviews, which would also be more evidence in favor of this being the Doubletree. This is a very good deal, especially considering the length of stay and quad occupancy, both of which often combine to make for difficulty when finding a deal (given that usually, searching for 4 in the room on HOTWIRE leads to less options and much higher prices.)Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchase.
TheBrain Posted January 19, 2010 Author Report Posted January 19, 2010 We (Me, my wife and 2 kids (8 and 5)) will be visiting NYC feb 18 - feb 25th and are looking for a comfortable stay in a 4* or higher hotel with the best prices ofcourse.Interesting areas:- CPS, ESB, MTE, MTW, Times Square.Possible to get a room under $140 ?Thanks in advance, for all the tips and help!
AaronJB Posted January 19, 2010 Report Posted January 19, 2010 Please keep all discussion of this trip in this thread, thanks. :)PRICELINE would not guarantee more than 1 bed (this is especially true in NYC), so HOTWIRE would be the best option for this stay.

AaronJB Posted January 19, 2010 Report Posted January 19, 2010 Given the difficulty often seen with finding a deal for quad (4) occupancy in NYC and the length of the stay, the 4* TS that I am seeing (Suite, Restaurant, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business) on HOTWIRE (which would be a likely match for the Doubletree TS Suites) would certainly seem like a good option. Additionally, the larger suite room would give more space for the stay (definitely a good thing in NYC, where many hotels have extremely small rooms.)Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE link.
TheBrain Posted January 20, 2010 Author Report Posted January 20, 2010 Thanks for all the help here!I booked it and yes it is the Doubletree Guest Suites on Times Square.Price $156 per night.
