imagineertobe Posted January 16, 2010 Report Posted January 16, 2010 Searching for 2 people, 18-21 February.Hotwire shows Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), and Business Center amenities for $69/night.I've looked at the following hotels and (sort of) ruled them out:Days Hotel Broadway (no restaurant)Hotel Newton (no fitness center)Astor on the Park (no fitness center)I'm thinking it might be the Comfort Inn Central Park West since they have an exercise room, copy/fax services, and free breakfast (which I guess qualifies as a restaurant?). Does that make sense?TIA
AaronJB Posted January 16, 2010 Report Posted January 16, 2010 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)I'd be concerned about a 2* property in NYC. This listing has not yet been reported to the board/ID'd, and I'm not finding many properties under 3* w/o a restaurant. The Comfort Inn CP does not have one, for example. The YMCA West Side is listed as a 2* on Orbitz w/restaurant (although I can't seem to find details on what the restaurant actually is), and the low price of the hotwire rating in comparison to the regular rate would lead me to believe that this listing being that property may be a possibility.Do you need to be in this area? What would be your budget per night? Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchase.
imagineertobe Posted January 17, 2010 Author Report Posted January 17, 2010 Okay, thanks. Some friends are all converging on NYC where one lives (in the Upper East Side - 86th and Lex) but doesn't have enough room for all of us. So we'd like to be somewhere near her, but the Central Park area on Hotwire is rather large and being in the Upper West Side is as desirable as Midtown East, I guess. Since we're all grad students and are only going to sleep in the hotel, we're just looking for a low price.
