rtwtraveller Posted January 16, 2010 Report Posted January 16, 2010 Started bidding $100 and went up $1 per day. You can bid twice a day for Rio becuase there are no 3.5* properties on Priceline, so you place a bid on a 4* and 3.5* which is just like bidding on a 4*. I found a better deal on this same hotel through octopus travel, but you never know what hotel you get when you bid. Received the message that I could rebid right now if I was willing to increase my bid by $22 starting with the initial bid.
AaronJB Posted January 16, 2010 Report Posted January 16, 2010 If you were able to find a better deal on another travel site, I would definitely suggest contacting PRICELINE to request they match the offer.Thank you for sharing your win with the board and please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links.Enjoy your stay.
Jesper Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 Hi We are going to Rio in october and wonder - is Rio one big area in Priceline NYOP - so you can be placed way out of town or? Regards from Jesper
thereuare Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 Yes, when no map/zone boundaries are provided, your hotel will be within the "city limits"... so unfortunately in this example it would cover a very wide area.If/when you need help with this stay feel free to start a NEW TOPIC.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
