gochicago Posted January 16, 2010 Report Posted January 16, 2010 Just "won" this bid. First time using PRICELINE through the link on this website. Guess February is a busy time in FLL as price was a lot higher than I thought I would have to go. Was hoping for Hyatt Place or Embassy Suites, but I did know that Riverside was probably the one I was going to get. So I see that this is a nice hotel and going rate on Priceline is $256, so it's a deal - just will need to put out more for cab fares as no free shuttles. Here's how the bidding went: Used FLL downtown only and 3* only - 1/12 $80 rejected; 1/13 $90 rejected; 1/14 $100 rejected; today 1/15 $114 rejected but given offer to add $22 to secure a hotel, so I took it. I already spent way too many hours researching hotel prices on many sites to continue. May or may not use Priceline again.
thereuare Posted January 16, 2010 Report Posted January 16, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding!Congratulations on your success and thank you for sharing your results with the board. While perhaps more than you originally set out to spend, rates are high for this nite, and this is a very nice deal vs. a conventionally booked room. For future bidding, do note that you had one re-bid zones available when bidding 3* in Ft Lauderdale, which would have made your bidding a bit easier and allowed you to make more than one bid per day. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please see Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask any questions you may have.Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using our PRICELINE link to begin your bidding.Enjoy your stay.
