Hi,

I am new in bidding for hotels in priceline and hotwire websites.

I am going to Aruba from March 7, 2010 to March 14, 2010.

I would like to know if anyone could help me in how to bid to get the Marriott Aruba Resort & Stellaris Casino (for instance, how many stars, the possible misleadings, etc).

Any help is highly appreciate.

Thanks.

Fernando.

Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

There is no way to try to target a particular property via PRICELINE. When bidding on the resort (for example) level in a particular area, you have to be willing to accept *any* of the possible participating hotels at that level in that area. You can see the PRICELINE hotels that have been reported in Aruba in this Hotwire Hotel List.

One can make an educated guess as to which hotels may be showing on HOTWIRE, but there's still no guarantee that a particular HOTWIRE listing may be a particular property. The list of HOTWIRE properties that have been reported in the area can be found at this link.

If you are willing to risk possibly getting something else, PRICELINE or HOTWIRE are good options. If you are only interested in the Marriott and don't want to risk getting something else, coupon codes FABSAVE10 or WELCOME10 may work for 10% off this property.

Please use the site's HOTWIRE, PRICELINE or Orbitz.com links.

Just to narrow the chances of getting other hotels, anybody knows how the Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino

is categorized (stars) by Priceline?

Thanks!!

Fernando.

If you look at the retail side of Priceline (not the bidding side) and if the Marriott is there, it's star rating on that side will be the same as on the bidding side.

Alternatively, you could try a search function on this site (upper right hand on this page) for the Aruba Marriott. If other bidders have reported getting it, their posts will show the star rating. Once in a while a hotel does change it's rating, so be a tiny bit leery of very old posts.

Hi.

I finally rented a timeshare in Divi Phoenix from March 6 to March 13, 2010.

However, my wife was accepted for US$ 115 (total of us$ 137) in Aruba Marriott Resort And Stellaris Casino for only the night of March 5, 2010. It was her first bidding.

Thank you for your help.

Fernando.

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. (and ask your wife to do the same if she'll be the one doing the bidding)
