Inverted Posted January 15, 2010 Report Posted January 15, 2010 Hi all,Looking for a 4 or 5 star hotel in Singapore for 18/01/10 - 21/01/10. I've tried every combo of City Hall, Bugis and Orchard Row up to $100, which seems much higher then what has been posted for successful bids. I am trying to book 3 rooms, will this make the price of each individual room higher? Do hotels not want to book that many rooms through PRICELINE? Also I am booking from Australia (I'm from Canada but currently in Oz), Priceline wouldn't be rejecting my bids due to an Australian IP address would they? Thanks for the help.
thereuare Posted January 15, 2010 Report Posted January 15, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding!I don't believe the issue is your location or the number of rooms, but rather that something is happening in Singapore for these dates as rates are very high (or it's a busy week for business travel given non-weekend dates). The Conrad is sold-out, the Marriott is prices at $275(US) and the Hilton at $365(US)... rates higher than we typically see when rated sub-$100 are accepted. What is the best available rate you're able to find at an acceptable hotel for these dates? What is your maximum bid for this stay? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
