choy1212 Posted January 14, 2010 Report Posted January 14, 2010 I bid on 4 rooms (2 1/2 stars) in Miami back in November for Feb 5 to Feb 6 during the superbowl weekend for my precruise stay, I got Ramada Inn Hialeah from PRICELINE for $100. I felt horrible after I saw my winning bids based on the reviews from different web site. I felt the hotel was overated by Priceline. Just check PRICELINE today and they actually lower this hotel to 2 stars. What can I do now?
thereuare Posted January 14, 2010 Report Posted January 14, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding! If you did win this as a 2.5* property and it is now rated 2* by PRICELINE i would contact them and they will likely offer you the option to cancel the reservation for a refund. HOWEVER, given this is SuperBowl weekend i would first make sure you can find a suitable replacement, as many hotels are likely sold-out and/or have even higher rates right now. Before cancelling the PRICELINE hotel (assuming that is offered) i would have an idea of some options available within your budget (but don'tn book anything non-refundable until you receive confirmation from PRICELINE that they're willing to offer a refund)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Please follow-up and let us know your decision and the outcome.
