lsiegle Posted January 14, 2010 Report Posted January 14, 2010 I am looking to book a 3.5 Star on HOTWIRE for Salzburg 3/30-4/1. The hotel features:Fitness CenterPoolRestaurantBusiness CenterHi-Speed Internetfor $99/night.Anyone know which hotel this is?
thereuare Posted January 14, 2010 Report Posted January 14, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding!Unfortunately this property has not yet been reported to the board or identified, and the amenities are fairly common for a 3.5* hotel, so i don't think we'll be able to gain much insight to this one... could be just about any 3.5* hotel in the zone which has a pool. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. MUCBear Posted January 17, 2010 Report Posted January 17, 2010 Hallo,I think it is either the Crown Plaza or the Renaissance. You can get the Renaissance on Pricline usually in the rangebetween 53US$ and 65US$.Rgds MUCBear
lsiegle Posted January 19, 2010 Author Report Posted January 19, 2010 Thanks for your insight! Any advice on how to do the bidding on Priceline to get it in the range of $54US? I have never done the biddging on PRICELINE and was wondering if you have any suggestions. Have you stayed at these hotels before?Hallo,I think it is either the Crown Plaza or the Renaissance. You can get the Renaissance on Pricline usually in the rangebetween 53US$ and 65US$.Rgds MUCBear
AaronJB Posted January 19, 2010 Report Posted January 19, 2010 The Renaissance has previously been reported as a 4* in the Salzburg zone, but keep in mind there are other possible properties when you bid on PRICELINE. The NH Salzburg has also been reported in the Salzburg zone, but there could also be unknown properties, too. Rates vary by dates; $54 may be a common price for an accepted bid for a 4* in this zone - and I'm not familiar with this area - but if there is something going on in the area for these dates, it may require a higher bid. Please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchase.
MUCBear Posted January 20, 2010 Report Posted January 20, 2010 I stayed at the Renaissance and the NH. Both hotels are fine. The Renaissance is close to the railwaystation, but the ereais not very nice. If you want to go to the historc center, youcan take the bus (5 minutes) or walk (20 minutes). The Location of the NH and the Crown Plaza is better. CrownPlaza is just across the Mirabell Castle and the Convention Centre, the NH is next to the pedestrian zone.MUCBear
