zoe4196 Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 I am traveling to NYC and want to stay in TS or MTW (MTE last choice) in a 3 or 4 * hotel for 2 nights (1/15 and 1/16). I want to be as close to $100 per night as possible. Thank you!
zoe4196 Posted January 12, 2010 Author Report Posted January 12, 2010 Sorry - I forgot to ask - can you help me with ideas on what to bid in each area?
thereuare Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding! Are you willing to pay more for a higher rated hotel or is your goal the least expensive 3* or better for this stay? Is price more important that price... did you want to first try for a hotel in the TS (and/or MTW) zone up to your limit before trying for a hotel in the MTE zone... or are you really after the least expensive property in any of these three zones? If price is primary concern, you may also want to consider adding other zones, which are still considered to be convenient, such as MSG and/or Chelsea, as i think doing so may improve your chances.Let us know the above and we'll advise accordingly. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. zoe4196 Posted January 13, 2010 Author Report Posted January 13, 2010 Price is very important. But also staying near either Times Square or the American Girl Doll Store is important. I think Times Square is more convienent since we will only visit the doll store once. I promised my daughter we would go, but money is tight and I just need to be able to do it as cost effective as possible. Also, I saw on another thread that it may be a problem because there will be 3 adults and 1 child traveling - is there a way to ensure 2 beds?
thereuare Posted January 13, 2010 Report Posted January 13, 2010 PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy, after that it's at the discreation of the hotel, and given notoriously small rooms in NYC, and a high percentage of hotel rooms which only have one bed, it's considered a risk to use PRICELINE in NYC for more than double occupancy.HOTWIRE does allow you to search for up to quad occupancy and ensures sleeping accmodations for everyone you include in your search. If you search HOTWIRE for 3adults/1child does anything appear within your budget and desired location(s)?Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
