wahwah Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 Hi,I will be heading to Paris on May 5 - 7, 2010 AND May 9 - 11, 2010. In between of the two dates, I will be heading London via Eurostar, therefore I would like to stay somewhere fairly convenient to Gare du Nord & the CDG airport transportation services.Below are my travel Details:1) Check-In Date: May 5, 2010Check-Out Date: May 7, 2010Minimum Star: 4*2) Check-In Date: May 9, 2010Check-Out Date: May 11, 2010Minimum Star: 4*Area Interested: Opera Quarter East-Les Halles (especially the Novotel Les Halles), Champs Elysees-Opera Quarter West, & St Germain-Latin Quarter-Montparnasse.I would like to stay @ Opera Quarter East-Les Halles at least one out of the two stay.I am not sure what is a realistic bid range for Les Halles, but it seems like ~ $122 to $145 according to the past trend. So I am guessing under $140 should be decent. For Champs Elysees-Opera Quarter West, & St Germain-Latin Quarter-Montparnasse, I believe my maximum is $120.I just bid May 5 - 7 @ OQE and got rejected @ $100 with no counter offer, then added OQW and it failed. However, when I bid OQE for May 9 - 11, I did have an counter offer for $15X, but I rejected again. Is it more realistic that I should aim OQE for the stay from May 9 - 11? I don't won't to re-bid by adding other zones, as I know OQE generally has a much higher rate. Not sure what my strategies should be when I want to stay OQE.Many thanks!
thereuare Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 So do you want to bid up to your $145 limit first for the OQE zone before adding the other two zones? Then, if you're successful for one leg of your stay you can then try for the other stay bidding for the lowest priced 4* hotel in any of the three zones. Does that make sense? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
