coryhat Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 Has anyone ever tried to book three rooms in a hotel through PRICELINE? I'm trying to book rooms for a few couples. Are many hotels flexible or more giving in their price for additional rooms?
AaronJB Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 Many users book multiple rooms through the service. Hotel rates do not improve (and I believe rates do not vary) with multiple rooms. Please let us know the dates of travel, desired star rating and desired budget per room/per night and we will be happy to provide suggestions on how to proceed.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchase.
coryhat Posted January 20, 2010 Author Report Posted January 20, 2010 I'm looking for a hotel in downtown Austin, near the convention center from February 25-27. Possibly three rooms.Would like to book around $70/night... Doesn't have to be the Hilton...
thereuare Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 Possibly three rooms. When will your plans be firm? (and you'll know the number of rooms needed)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. coryhat Posted January 21, 2010 Author Report Posted January 21, 2010 I'm firm on two rooms for February 25 and February 26th.
thereuare Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 But i'm assuming that if you ultimatley need 3 rooms you would want them all at the same property... or are you willing to bid for 2 rooms now, then if a 3rd room is needed, but again and hope that you get the same hotel (as there would be no assurance that the same property would still be available or at the same rate)Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.EDIT TO ADD: or are you saying that your plans are now firm and will only need two rooms? coryhat Posted January 27, 2010 Author Report Posted January 27, 2010 That is correct, we need two rooms for February 25 and February 26th. I just don't know the odds of securing a better rate by booking two rooms or taking the gamble of two individual rooms that could be in different hotels.

jv85 Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 I actually have a last minute request for Austin,Tx....1/29-1/31, preferably something above 2stars in the downtown area (We are willing to stay elsewhere if there is a shuttle to downtown so we don't have to drive :) )Best deal on hotwire is "3 star" which for two rooms/two nights after taxes is 275. Any tips on getting a better deal last minute? Thanks in advance!
