gunmetalgrey Posted January 9, 2010 Report Posted January 9, 2010 Hi all, I have been successful in getting the Singapore Conrad thru Priceline at $79/night from the 25th Feb to the 1st March as I had no luck going the full period through to the 3rd of March so I decided to split the dates. However, it seems even bidding up to $100/night gets me no success for the 1st to the 3rd of March. Checking the hotel direct rates, it seems the rate jumps from circa S$200/night to S$300+ for those dates. Does anyone local know if there is a big event or something going on during this time to justify the price hike? Thanks!
thereuare Posted January 9, 2010 Report Posted January 9, 2010 I don't know the nuances of this zone well enough, but it could simply be the difference between weekend and midweek rates. I often say it doesn't matter why rates are higher for a given set of dates, but simply to realize that they are higher, as it will likely mean result in a higher bid to be accepted. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
