Hi all, just updating with my win today, I had been trying to bid for the period 26th Feb to 3rd March for the past few weeks from $75 to $95 with no success. Decided to split my dates as I noticed the monday to wednesday were slightly more at the conrad. Rejected $75, $77 bids, then success on $79. Now I just need to sort out a hotel for the 1st to the 3rd! :)

I posted a priceline win at $79 for the same hotel yesterday. Our bidding histories were identical, starting at $75 (reject), then trying $77 (reject) and being successful on $79.

I guess we'll never know whether the magic number was $78 or if we nailed it exactly with $79!!

Yeah I was going to just try $80 for my next bid, but then thought what the hell I'll give $79 a shot and it worked :)..

btw have many been successful getting weekday rates around the $80 mark? I just tried up to $99 to book the following 1st to 3rd of march for the city hall/marina area with no luck :) it seems the cheapest rate (advanced payment/no changes, etc) directly from the hotel's site for those days is SGD$280 about SGD$70 more than the weekend rate. Do weekdays usually come at this premium?

Rates do vary by date; if something is going on in the area during the time period prices may be higher. Hopefully those more familiar with the area can discuss weekend/weekday variations. Please start a new thread for the next part of your stay. Thanks! :)
