ammolite Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 We need a hotel in Cape Canaveral on March 13th that would permit us to leave rental car there for the duration of our Disney Cruise. Any ideas? PRICELINE or HOTWIRE? I usually stay away from Priceline because it only guarantees room for 2 people and there are 4 of us. If I could ID a few hotels I could call there before I book to see if they are ok with the parking. Thanks for your help
AaronJB Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 Unfortunately, there's no way to ID a hotel 100%; while a hotel listing could be a match for a previously reported property, in many areas of FL, there are quite a few similar properties and a listing that could look like a match for a previously reported hotel could turn out to be something else. Additionally, a hotel offering long-term parking is a rarity, and the hotel may not be willing to allow it for a PRICELINE/HOTWIRE reservation.I would recommend using Orbitz.com and seeing if the coupon codes WELCOME10 or FABSAVE10 (either take 10% off per night) work for hotels in the area and then call before booking, if one of the hotels listed on the service will work well for you.We could try to ID hotels showing for these dates on HOTWIRE, but in terms of hoping for a hotel that will allow you to park for a longer period, that would definitely not be guaranteed. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links.
thereuare Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 There is no way to ensure the hotel you receive thru PRICELINE or HOTWIRE will allow you to leave your car there for the length of your cruise. You could search HOTWIRE to see if you're able to reasonably identify a hotel beforehand and then determine if that hotel allows you to leave your car during your cruise, but there would be some risk involved in that you 'guessed' right on the hotel being offered. As well, most hotels that do allow you to leave your car is thru a 'park n fly' or 'park and sail' package, which costs more than their standard rate, which is not something you'd necessarily be entitled to with an PRICELINE or HOTWIRE booking. You may want to use Hotels by the Pier to find a non-opaque hotel that is close to the pier. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases if you go that route.Let us know what you decide or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
ammolite Posted January 7, 2010 Author Report Posted January 7, 2010 Thanks for the comments. I'll think about this and then decide what to do. I may try Orbitz as you have suggested.

ammolite Posted April 22, 2010 Author Report Posted April 22, 2010 Thank you. We ended up using Orbitz - through your link - to book the Residence Inn - Cape Canaveral because they allowed us to park there for the duration of our cruise.
