gochicago Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 I am new to Priceline. Haven't booked anything yet. Here's my question - When getting ready to bid, after choosing a star rating, the box below indicates "a median price for hotels in this area". So I was wondering, is that median price really an average of the various hotels in that category available at that time OR is that price a clue to which property you will actually win based on the current going price on the Priceline retail side where you see what hotel you are purchasing. Hope this question makes sense. Thank you. If I decide to bid on anything, I will come back and post.
AaronJB Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)This is an average price of the hotels in the selected area at the star rating chosen. There is no hint given by PRICELINE as to which hotel may appear when bidding. If you would like assistance with your stay, please provide dates of travel, destination and desired budget. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchase.
