Sneddy Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 Hello, i am trying to book a stay in the French Quarter are of New Orleans for the night of Jan 23, 2010.I have tried :3* - $503* - $603.5* - $804* - $903* - $70All with no luck! I think these prices are close or better than what other people have won with?? What should I do next....any help would be great, thanks.
swag Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 Hotwire has a 3* for around $100 and a 2* in the $50s, so you're not all that far off, price-wise.Rooms are likely being driven up by the Saints. If they win their game next weekend, then on Sunday the 24th, the Superdome will host the NFC Championship, Saturday night will be a huge party, and hotel rooms will be scarce. But if they lose, then lots of folks will probably be canceling reservations they are holding for your weekend and prices should drop...
thereuare Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 In light of the above i would suggest booking a fully cancellable back-up reservation (try one of the link in our support page or a hotel using MAPS and HOTELS.com... of course always confirm the cancellation policy)... this will assure you a rom if the Saints shoudl win; if they lose, you will likely be able to get something cheaper via PRICELINE or HOTWIRE (and cancel your back-up reservation) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Sneddy Posted January 6, 2010 Author Report Posted January 6, 2010 Ok, I managed to get the Astor Crowne plaza for $100, Jan 23, 2010.Thanks for the help.
