Sarah M Posted January 6, 2010 Report Posted January 6, 2010 I won the 3* Holiday Inn Greenbelt for $45, $50, and $45 Dec 31-Jan 3. I guess you only have a certain amount of time when it says "extend your stay for the same price" because I ran into an issue when trying to make another night -- priceline gave me a different hotel. I will probably be a little scared of doing that in the future. This hotel was GREAT! It is fairly close to 95 and only about 2 minutes from the Baltimore Washington Parkway. The only negative was I didn't think the front desk staff was very good -- upon arrival I was second in line and had to wait about 10 minutes because only one person was working the desk. I then took two trips up to the room to take my bags up and the person behind me was still waiting when I came down. I also had to make a stop at the desk to make sure my reservation had gone through the next day and had to wait another 5 minutes because only one person was working and she was pretty rude as well- never smiled. I also had to call down a few times and one of the people who answered was very courteous but the other was rude. When I asked one of the maids if she was able to clean my room in a few minutes when I left and she gave me a little bit of an attitude but then when I was leaving another maid offered to send up extra help for all my bags so really it seemed like half of them were nice but the others not so much. However, this pretty much made up the negatives list. There was a nice flat screen tv, microwave, refrigerator, and I also thought the bathroom was nice as well....as well as glass cups instead of the styrofoam or plastic some hotels give. I'm in a long distance relationship and although not important to others, my boyfriend and I love when the tvs have the outputs on them that we can hook up a dvd player to - as this one did. The carpet in our room was a little dirty/worn but that didn't matter too much since everything else was good. We didn't find the hotel too noisy except in the morning when you can hear people leaving but that's fairly normal. As long as you put the 'do not disturb' card in the door, the maids never knocked on our door in the morning which I appreciated. The beds were comfortable and had two "soft" and two "firm" pillows...all in all this was a nice hotel, especially for the priceline price. This hotel had all of the things we like to have: cleanliness, nice rooms, microwave, refrigerator, outlets on tv, and FREE INTERNET....couldn't get much better and hopefully I can get this one next time I'm in the area.

Skeet Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 Moderator, you should copy and paste the second paragraph above into the "Hotel Reviews". It's more thorough than most of the reviews in that forum! :-)
