drichards415 Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 I just want people to know that I used one of the tips I learned on this site --before using the link above to click through to priceline--to bid and it worked great. I wanted a hotel in the central okc, which I learned from this board was probably the Sheraton. Since I knew it was a 3.5*, I started by bidding $65. I was unsuccessful. So then I started adding areas that I knew DID NOT have 3.5* properties--which I also learned from this board--and resubmitting. So, my first request was:Central OKC / 3.5* /$65 REJECTEDI then added the following regions and raised my offer keeping the star rating at 3.5which I knew could not be accepted in the new region because they don't have any 3.5 *s.I added crossroads $65 REJECTEDThen, because I'm frugal and curious, I decided to lower my offer to see if that would have any effect. So I added edmond $63 andACCEPTED IN MY REGION AT THE 3.5* SHERATON Accepted $63 For 2 Nights TotalSheraton OK City$152.58 With Taxes and fess for two nights. So I actually lowered the price and still won!Sheraton's own web site and Travelocity and Hotels.com would have been $293.78 for two nights. Expedia would have been $240. Crazy, right?Keep up the good work. :)
